A carved miniature chair featuring a portrait of Amenhotep III who was also known as Amenhotep the Magnificent, the 9th Pharaoh of Egypt. His reign was a period of unprecedented prosperity and artistic Splendor when Egypt reached the peak of her artistic and international power.

The wood sculpture features a seat that lifts and can act as storage for jewelry and treasures. The base of the chair is carved with panels featuring fish, birds, lizards and foliage. These are a testament to the artificial lake Amenhotep excavated for his royal wife queen Tiyhe.
