Turn of the 19th century bentwood armchair was manufactured by the renowned Fischel company, a premier Central European competitor to Gebrüder Thonet. Constructed from steam-bent beechwood, the chair retains its original dark brown stained finish and features an elegantly curved horseshoe backrest that transitions smoothly into practical armrests. The circular plywood seat is embellished with a remarkably well-preserved, intricately embossed relief pattern featuring stylized organic and shell motifs.
